If this is correct, I can't understand why Red Bull are about to do a deal with Honda and Toro Rosso.

Hedging their bets?

Would be excellent news if true. Would explain their decision to leave LMP1. Can't see they would just settle for that ridiculous Formula E which nobody watches.

That reads like a made up story, full of invented conjecture and devoid of facts.

They had reasons to pull out of LMP1, those reasons would still exist if they went into F1.

They are more likely to gain expertise and exposure in Formula E, especially given the direction manufactures are heading with regard to the combustion engine.

Honda would supply their engines free of charge & may also give them additional budget. TR exist purely as a feeder team for RB. So if and when the Honda engine is decent then RB will be lined up nicely to get their engines with an exclusive 'works' deal.

Either way it's a few years off so likely some time before an official announcement from Porsche. Let's see how the rumour mill builds
