In the context of a sticker on a private hire car, which is the correct term?

advance

or they'd be 'advanced tickets' which makes them impressive and more futuristic than normal tickets but would give the wrong message smile

I think it's advance too - yet all over the country, I see private hire cars stickered up with "Advanced bookings only" - I believe this term is mandated by the licensing authority, such as this example http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&... (pages 12-15)

And even they change their advice from one page to the next - page 12 says "ADVANCE BOOKINGS ONLY" and then 14 says "ADVANCED BOOKINGS ONLY"

Some actually have "Pre-booked only" in my neck of the woods.

'Kin 'ell, it's a battered old sign. Couldn't get less advanced than that.
