face aching, backside sore, ooher. Picked up my Cerby from Fernies yesterday and now I know what planet you guys are on. Planet mental!
The Dartford Tunnel was unreal, uncontrolable fits of laughter for me and thumbs up and head shaking from my fellow tunnelers. Would have gone through again but run out of change.
Getting off M25 when a numpty decide's that wasn't her junction afterall and ooh look a TVR lets test it's reactions with a cunning jink to the right. So now it's not my junction either because I'm forced back onto the M25. Narrow escape No.1. Nearly home and here comes No.2. Following a Jag across the lights when bang he's T-boned by an ambulance at full pelt, nasty but all okay the Jag is now banana shape. Had the ambulance driver been using her sirens I'm sure it would have given the guy in front a clue.
Not surprisingly I'm up early (soon to be joined by the neighbours) and ready for more.
Thanks to Simon and Graham for a thorough handover and complimentary Accumate - very nice.
Gotta go, just remembered there's a Cerbera in my garage woohoo.
Cheers
David

Ah you were sold on the myth that blue ones were faster eh? Poor chap. Really should have done your homework and found out the ever-so-rare Chianti Starmist ones are the quick ones!

Welcome to the club, and never fear, that grin never leaves you!

Wow, trumanshow-esque there with everyone coming out to get you.

Congrats on the purchase.

Ha Ha, yes felt like that at the time but paranoia levels have now subsided. Oh BTW I see you're still looking, Fernies had a nice dark blue 4.2 in about £20K IIRC.

Spose it is a little high but it was the only one close to mint I saw. Also the history and one owner status suggested to me that it might not have caused him quite as much grief as say the 5 owner example for a grand less which I test drove. The actual asking price was less but I had a few additions. But I did look at cars priced down to £22K but felt most needed tidying and after spending 2 years doing that to a Griff I thought I'd go the other way this time.
Fingers crossed, time will tell.
Cheers

Congratulations david.....

Okay....so it's blue but I bet you're still going to be grinning from ear to ear this time next year....

And..by the way...all us experienced Cerby owners know that you always carry loads of change whenever a tunnel is involved...........

Enjoy.....

Poor Jag.

Congrats on the purchase, though. (Agree with gazzab regarding price - that's a good £4.5k more than I paid for a Nov. '99 one 2 years ago...)

Did you get a full years warranty though that actually pays out?

For a dealer price me thinks its about right...and considering the description and warranty...besides the blue one always fetch more money

Was from an indy, but got a full years third party warranty (same as most dealers sell, to be honest) that paid out every time I needed it to. However, I only needed it to once as nothing else went wrong!

Not saying anyone got a bad deal here - just an observation. If we all like are cars and are happy with the price we paid then all's good in the world.
