On the "rubber band" mirrors fitted to the later S's should the 3 ribs between the rubber bands be black or body colour (presuming your body isn't black 
)
Mine are painted but car has been resprayed and chunks are peeling off revealing a kind of "textured" satin/matt black finish that looks to me as if it shouldn't be painted?

Quite possibly, I did buy some replacements for the Chimaera (we're all allowed one mistake in life) don't recall the size but had a measure up now and I'd go for 4.0mm x 150mm ID?I do recall "my supplier" didn't have the correct cross section, the ones I got were a bit skinny.
