One of the most exciting things I've seen for ages. Was literally on the edge of my seat. Awesome.

Can you imagine Ferrari in that scenario. Handbags at dawn, and see you in court..... I wonder why I don't watch F1 anymore?

Best racing I have seen in ages..... Touring cars looked very tame by comparison. Talk about balls the size of melons

stunning racing...

fantastic control having seen those bikes squirm all over the track for the previous 25 laps and then the last two. I was actually standing shouting at the TV - proper racing emotion

BBC on to a good thing there

Ditto, puts ANY other "racing" to shame!

Just watched it again. I don't think I've ever seen two people push that hard for that long. They were both on the ragged edge for the last 10-12 laps. The last two laps were amazing, even my mum was glued to the screen!

Ruthless, brilliant.....and one is reminded of the Edwards-Bayliss finale in WSBK a few years back...

Just watched it having got back from Thruxton, which also produced it's normal array of great battles....

Could be a gret debate on the last corner move .... considering the punishment handed out to Tamada at Motegi a couple of years ago for a move which took Ginernau off the track and it was a far less ruthless move.

I imagine there will be appeals flying around ...

I can't believe Gibernau opened to door into the last corner the way he did - all he had to do was keep over to the inside and control the last corner and the win was his.

.... because Rossi would have taken a sweeping line into the corner, got on the gas earlier, got it on the fat part of the tyre and out dragged him to the line as Ginernau did to him at Sachsenring last year ... or year before.

The door wasn't open, Rossi smashed it down

I can't believe Rossi could have gone round the outside in the last turn.

One thing Gibernau is terrible at is race craft - he leads for 90% of the thing only to give everything away - in terms of where he is strong/weak - then gets mugged in the last few laps.

Not sure why Sete was so pissed off ... he opened the door. Racing incident I'd say.

agree that sete lost the race though... he just offered Rossi the inside line!! If the Honda really has teh power advantage Rossi must have been leaving his braking seriously late in the last three or four laps because he was closing a gap of three bike lengths into nothing on the slower corners.

I dont think there could be any justifiable appeals made after that though, Sete will just kick himself for the indecision at the last corner...
