Passive smoking
Discussion
So this is something that really gets on my tits.
In London, I cannot walk like 10 steps without breathing in or smelling cigarette smoke. I hate it, especially when I have a cold or cough. I usually cover my nose and mouth when I see a smoker but of course cannot make sure every time.
Anyone else find this annoying and is it something to worry about? I have no idea with smokers or drinkers, just as long as it does not effect me.

Wut?You find it more annoying than the fleets of diesel buses and taxis belching particulate carcinogens into the air throughout London? Ooo-kay
Maybe you should just appreciate that the smokers are forced by law into smoking outside buildings and probably have no more wish to be there than you wish them to be there? And like, just get on with your life?

Yeah but smokers still come into the building, stink up the lifts, and then you have to work with them while they stink. Yeah I work in central London but I avoid the really busy areas anyway and the only time the smoke from buses really gets to me if I get really close to one, like if I cross the road behind a bus (which I avoid anyway).
Smokers instead walk everywhere and past you.

As an ex smoker it doesn't bother, but I can understand why some people find it annoying. Smoking has been banned from pubs, restaurants, so where are they supposed to smoke? They may stink, but thats there choice....same as people who have bad body odor, wear horrible perfume/aftershave. In terms of it affecting your health I would say no. Living in london i would be more worried about the cr*p coming out from diesel buses, taxi's, cars then smelling a little bit of smoke.
