New Cayenne Turbo Deposit

Guys, just wanted to get a few opinions, so I went into my local OPC today to sit down and Spec the new Turbo Cayenne, all was well until he said for a 10k deposit, I've recently also placed a deposit on a 911 GTS, in doing so I had the piece of paper you get in your pack that states the deposits required for all the models, I expected to pay a 3k deposit on the Cayenne Turbo, (what with it not arriving until July next year) when my Salesman said it's 10k as it's a Turbo!?!?

It clearly states that Cayenne is £3k deposit, then the box below states all 911's 10k deposit...

I was sort of put on the spot today, said I would pay the 3k I expected then would arrange in the week to pay the balance! It's not like it's a GT product which I obviously would accept would require a 10k deposit..

I'm not surprised as they won't want the risk of you cancelling and leaving them with a £100k+ Cayenne that they could potentially have in stock for months with only £3k.

Have to say very poor on the wheel front for the new Cayenne in design and only choice of 3 for the turbo and 6 for the other models.

I think they're taking the piss...especially as you're clearly a very good customer. I've seen the same list of deposits as you. I bought a new Cayenne S Diesel in March which was very high spec (I'm too embarrassed to say what it came too!) which I reckon would have been very hard for the OPC to shift close to list...£3k deposit. I reckon there was more risk in that order than a new Cayenne Turbo given how new the model is.

What colour have you gone for/spec ? Things like no Panormaic Roof make cars impossible to shift. As do some colours. Silver apparently is a disaster on the current car.

Have gone for the New dark Blue that they are doing on the Turbo, with the PCCB in yellow with dakr wheel option. Was told that porsche will drop feed other options as the weeks roll by, ideally deviated yellow stitching with black leather would be the option I would want.

So so am I right in thinking I should only be paying 3K deposit?

Yes £3k.

Ours is Dark Blue (Moonlight in our case), think it's great and a change from all the black ones. Deviated stitching would lift the interior...the black one is very black on the current car. We want with black and cream...not easy to keep clean but everyone that sees it comments on how nice it is.

Switched my S order for which I had put 3K down, to a Turbo, not asked to pay anymore
