My F25 X3 ambient temperature is reading about 10c lower than it should - I suspect the sensor.

For the life of me, I can't find where it is. Googling seems to indicate under the front bumper in front of the wheel - nope - any ideas?

Found the bugger!

Now, how do I access to replace?

Do I remove that cover or the one below the kidney radiator grille?

Or do I need to remove the undertray?

The BMW service instructions say remove the nose cone. It can be reached by removing the 6 or so bolts directly underneath the sensor, pulling back the under tray / bumper and reaching in. Unplug, plug a new one in. Very quick job.

Hmmmm...... So do BMW dealers charge for removing the entire nose cone to do this job, and actually only pull back the under tray, reach in and swap the sensor out? scratchchin

That would be a nice little money earner! wink
