PH Cerbera Community - Terminal Velocity 2005
Discussion
All,
There are going to be some 'ruff' porsches and fezzas (f40, enzo) and some vipers are coming too along with big tuner ricers etc - to the Terminal Velocity event www.tv2005.co.uk
I think its about time some of our sorted cerbies showed the other clubs what TVR's can really do...
I'm taking the Phoenix there, hope ALL of you come too, if not to race, to support... will be a phenomenal day and will hit the media like a storm (a few magazines and possibly television too)... sign up boys before the slots dissapear.... lets represent the Cerbera community properly....
Jason? Craig? Washy? Satman? Chris? Bosscerbera? and everyone else!
Come on!!! Its time to settle the scores and read the magazine articles afterwards with a big grin.... 2.1 mile run with a 1.5 mile speedtrap at Woodbridge, new tarmac and weathered nicely over winter....
TVR convoy to the Terminal Velocity event....
Its time to stop fighting amongst ourselves over silly bhp graphs - and its time to go public with our understated beasts....
BUT - you have to book in now, theres only limited slots, and because of this official events publicity, the slots are going like gold-dust - this is a supers only event...
BOOK NOW!

Thanks David!
But for the rest of you....
this is publically giving you the chance for a head on testing session against ruff porschas, an F40, an Enzo, Vipers, big tuner ricers like skylines, 3000gt's etc.... ?????
Theres no skill levels required, just outright bhp and good shifting skills... these events is where everyone floors it... and I know even the standard Cerbera 4.5 will put most entrants to shame???? no????
Come on, we got to do this, we got to hold up high the union-jack with tvr across it...

Ash, will your car be ready? I thought it was still in bits?
See you there
Mr F
It will be ready way before August! I'm told that you need to book the tickets via the Terminal Velocity website, there are no ticket sales on the day.
Cool - thats 2 on the list, but chaps dont forget to book your spectator tickets. If you're going for a thrash, whats £75????? for a day of continuous thrashing against other supers.... this day is just round the corner, I'm trying to see if we can get a model-helicopter camera to hover the strip, top-gear stylee, would make a great DVD.... I think I saw someone who does it for £200 an hour, remote controlled and all that....
I want us PH Cerbera lot to dominate the event, so lets get some runners in....
I'm being very ecstatic about this, because the slots go very quick, and I really want our Cerbies to rub heels with the worlds finest.... its a perfect opportunity.... and its all officially monitored and timed (RAC scrutineers and all that)....

I'd love to attend but I'm afraid my little 4.2 block will let the side down.
No it wont bud, its still a cerbera, and when you're roaring down that strip, shifting dead on at the precise times, I reckon when you get over that line, you'll blast away most other supers!
Its not a competition of who gets the best time, because every car will be a different beast, some with turbos, some with blowers, some with roaring flatplane 4.2 normally aspirated AJPs with a power to weight ratio of an ice-cream cart on a freak tornado!
Thing is, the phoenix isnt going to be the fairest of opponents, so the standard GT2's and the F40 etc will be great comparisons against our original Cerbies...
So dont only watch, join in!!!!! You'll be gutted if you dont, perfect opportunity for all of you's to take that car to its peak over the 1.5 miles on smooth tarmac... I am told, traction will be superb!
I'll bring a tyre heater forour Cerbera group...
DONT LET ME DO THIS ALONE! I can see it now, everyone turning around and saying "yeah, but yours aint standard, the standard ones cant cut it"....
So Byff, grab your helmet, fill up with Optimax + some octane booster on top... clean the air-filter out PROPERLY for the day.... and make sure your throttle-pots are spot on.... and give these porkies and fezzas hell on the day! you get plenty of runs all day to get it perfect, so you can use the first run to test things out...
Plus, every run I take that day, I'll be more than happy to take a passenger a time... so you all get to feel what hopefully will be a pant's bursting experience.... (possibly a face-lift in the equation too, now you definitely cant turn that one down!!!

Paddie, you better come too!!! (and you still aint sent me those GT40 photos you promised me!)

Hi Guys, my name is David McCarthy and i'm the organiser for Terminal Velocity 2005.
My love for TVR's go back to a trip i had in my friends Griffith 500. Scared the shite out of me and i owned a porsche 911 c2 at the time so not a stranger to quick-ish cars. The sound the smell.. its addictive..
I really hope that some of you guys will come and show the Japanese and German Guys that us Brits still know a thing or 2 about building some of the world's fastest and best sounding cars!!
The competition on the day will feature a Cobra Brock Coupe(500bhp), a Ferrari F40, a Supercharged M5(640bhp0, A Mitsubishi 3000GT with over 490bhp at the wheels!, 3 Ruff Porsches, 2 GT2's, etc etc etc
Now can you imagine if all of these were sent down by one of you guys!! Well I can only dream!
Feel free to contact me with ANY question dmc@tv2005.co.uk and remember all profits go to charity.
Thanks Again

B***KS!
I'll be away at work at the time.
Never been on a 1/4 mile or TV run before and always wanted to.
Should be back in time for CREAM though. Elvingtons a lot closer for me too.
The F40 would be very interesting against a cerbie!
I remember when they drag raced the cerbie with a tornado jet to 150mph, I think the cerbs time was 2 secs or so closer to the jet than the F40's time!
That was the 4.2 aswell.

Ash - I'll give it some thought over the next couple of days. Would quite like to open her up on a long straight. Not keen on standing starts though so standing 1/4 not going to happen.
Still think this kind of thing comes down to dollars though. On a track day you get to outdrive people in supposedly better kit and amuse youself that way. Anyone with big power can beat me in the Cerb in a straight line.

Washy and K1 Cerb
Bear in mind if you just want to do top speed runs all day long then thats fine..... You won't be the fastest, but you definitely won't be the slowest..
And its not about the competition its about seeing what you and your car can do...!
Where else do you get to redline it in top gear and not worry about traffic, cops or a roundabout coming up..?
Go over to the forum to see what other sort of cars have joined in the fun!!!

Washy - good job mate!
Will be great to have your red rose there... along with the rest of us tivvers.... its all about holding the flag and showing what stock british muscle is about... we're not there to compete as such, just to see what we can do with our rides... and what better atmosphere is there than to rant with other fine exotica owners...
K1 - Super mate!
We need more.... I want all us 'enthusiast' cerb owners to dominate this event... come on chaps, get your orders in, we'regoing to make our mark in 2005!
The Cerbera is NOT a classic yet!

Its turning out to be a great year, we've got this Terminal Velocity event where we get to rub shoulders with other exotic marquees, and then we got our very own CREAM event to celebrate the Cerbera's 10th anniversay courtesy of Graham of AAUK....
Thats whats it all about, when we do things, we gotta stick together and do it in force!
