My new car

Hi

After much looking around and reading (including forums here-many thanks!) I've bought my first TVR, its a 1995 chimaera in green with green/magnolia interior.I absolutely love it, I picked it up on saturday the 9th and have had the best day ever today driving it with the roof down.

I had to sell 2 of my MGBGT's and my everyday MX5 to buy it and find some more pennies from elsewhere, but it was worth it.

I'm now left with the TVR and my MG Midget to play with.

I'm actually the events co-ordinator for the Midget And Sprite Club and recently organised an (unofficial run)through B'ham which we called the tunnels run, photos at

The noise of 17 midgets and sprites through Queensway etc was fantastic, I wonder what 17 or more TVR's would sound like?

How can I find details of the local clubs? I have juts joined the TVR car club.

I'm just looking forward to enjoying my car now.

Did we spot you on Saturday afternoon heading south from Lichfield?. We were in a Black Cerbera and waved/flashed lights/etc.

Welcome to the fold.
My suggestions:
1. Join the TVRCC as the mag is great value alone for £35.
2. Go to as many meets/events/racing (with TVR's of course) and you'll meet loads of great people. You're probably in between 3 regions for TVRCC meets - West Mids (3rd Sunday at the Bulls Head Meriden), East Mids (2nd Sunday at various locations through the summer months) and Staffs (1st Wednesday 7.30pm at The Walton Inn, A34, Stone).

I joined the tvrcc last week and got my first mag on friday, its a good read but tempts with all the stuff to buy for my car!

Karen, I dont think it was me on saturday, I dint get back from collecting the car until about 8pm. However, if you are around the Tamworth area, you are bound to see me as I intend to use it as frequently as possible.

I did see/wave at a black griffith on sunday afternoon on my way back from Leicester.

That's the way to do it.

You'll find a list of regional clubs, organisers and contact details in Sprint (the club magazine) when it arrives. Alternatively you can look here.

Also keep an eye on the TVR forums here and on the club forum.

Have had a look for local groups and will try to get along to one of them in the next month or so (in between MG meetings!)

Bit dissapointed today to notice that non of the children at the school where I teach have noticed that I've swapped the green MX5 for a green TVR!
