Appreciating life
Discussion
Its been a long time since I've been really happy..,relationships going sour, the wrong job etc.
Now I have a nice wife, and a little girl who's just to wonderful for words !!
But christ, its going past to quick,is there a magical way to slow life down,I dont appreciate life enough,my heads up in the clouds with day to day things, and the last 15 years is basically a blurr.
Do you ever sit down and take account of what your life is like ? , a bit heavy... but I'm just sitting contemplating

.I know what you mean about life going Fast. I was 30 in January
Up until last year I had about 5 good mates, but we didn't meet up that often. In the last year there has been quite a lot of social things at work (previous jobs were all married women) and I have been out more and had more of a social life than ever before. I am now doing more than I ever did when I was 18. I am now wondering what I did between 18 and 29 as It is such a long period of time, but nothing really stands out. It is frightening when I think back on my first job and when I left school, even worse when you go to get insurance quotes and see the driving test passed date option as 1988!!

My mother always says to me, "Life is too short. Make the most of it while you are young." Two of my friends have been diagnosed with cancer in recent years. One was given less than a year to live. Two and a half years on he is still fighting and living each day to the full. The other, who got married six weeks ago, was given less than three months to live. He is fighting the disease with the most incredible resolve and looks the picture of health.
Life is very fragile. You never know when it will be taken from you. Each day you should do something worthwhile, make a difference, make every day count.

Tis true, the older you get the faster time goes.My Daughter,is ten in August.Children grow up so quickly.
I am 38 next year,
I still like the same things that I did when I was a teenager.
Although as I get older,I am finding that I am getting more reflective on life.
I don't take anything for granted these days.I have had enough scares to last me a life time.

I don't take anything for granted these days.I have had enough scares to last me a life time. When I was 21, an acquaintance hit 30 and made out it was the end of his world. At the time I thought 30 was so far away. 30 came and went... 40 came and went even quicker
but NOW I can see the wood for the trees.
My kid has her own kid (now THAT makes you feel old
); I know more or less what I want to do, and it's not work my nuts off for the next 25 years (or even 20) just in time for the slippery slope to a chipboard overcoat.
