Just trying to understand this can someone confirm if the below is correct.

1. Every 3/4 year old gets 15hrs free a week regardless of the the parents income ?

2. The additional 15hrs to bring it up to 30hrs a week is only available if both parent earn less than 100k and its not combined household income of 100k ?

3. if one parent earns over 100k they don't get the extra 15hrs ?

Childcare as in using a childminder?

It isn't 30 hours free, but 30 hours funded. Many childminders aren't accepting it as i/ it's a lot of hassle, and ii/ it's a set amount that doesn't cover the normal rates

correct on all points. my wife runs a charitable status pre-school, and is also a little pi$$ed about the reduction in income as the above poster mentioned.

They don't have quite so much overheads as a private nursery though.
