Parts suppliers in the U.K! Post yours!
Discussion
James,
OK - in no particular order, here are some of the suppliers I use:
Bauer Millett (Manchester) - Parts Desk: 0161 872 7744 / 0753 (can be expensive (although sometimes can be cheap!!) - good for GM parts)
-----
Claremont Corvette (good for vette-specific parts, including second-hand bits): 01634 244444
-----
OCW-ACDelco Parts (can be expensive, but not really an issue for spark plugs+filters... usually have in stock or within a few days - for ACDelco parts): 020 8810 4595
-----
Eurovettes: (excellent - useful for bulkier items needed from the states, e.g. oil, clutches etc. Excellent prices + services, speak to Keith Beschi) 01438 22 33 54
-----
Goodridge UK - 01392 369090 (James) (if you need speed-bleeder valves and other brake/clutch line type components)
When I say expensive, I mean compared to getting the bits yourself stateside... US-based suppliers who are willing to ship to UK can be just as useful, and cheaper still, even with 10% import duty, and 17.5% of that!
Sending by USPS Global Priority, which is not too expensive (think around $40-$50), you should get the bits within a week.

James, duty tends to be less than this normally working out at about 4 - 5% subject to what it is you are buying. Give me a call when you are looking for stuff and I can do some budget pricing for you on the freight & duty etc.
Utilising the Moving Parts system, the suppliers who won't ship internationally will be available to you as we get them to deliver to our facility in the US.
USPS is fine for small items and very cost effective if you aren't in a hurry. They link with Parcel Force for the UK end of the delivery.

Hi James,
You don't say whereabouts you are, but you can add Frosts of Shoreham (GM agent, near Brighton) as today I got an oil drain plug and seal ex-stock. I guess they'll have other stuff too. See www.frosts4cars.co.uk/ for further details.
