Since Spotify Connect seems not to be supported anymore on the Pioneer VSX 923 we currently have, I have been given the green light by SWMBO to look for a replacement smile

Things that matter:
  • Spotify Connect
  • 2, ideally 3 zones (living room, outside, office)
  • at least 5.1 connections for the living room zone (have an additional 3 connections there beyond the 2 front and 2 back, so will need to figure out how to get these into the mix)
  • 2 connections for 'outside' zone
  • 2, ideally 4, connections for office zone
  • future proof (so HDMI 2.1 I guess, HDCP 2.2 compatible, ...)
  • min 3 HDMI inputs
What would you suggest?

This is the one I'm going for. Seems well regarding at the price point and ticks all of my requirements. It's 7.1. You could run it 5.1 and use the other 2 channels for multi room.

I should be able to match any Denon, Yamaha et al deals to my PH friends.

Let me have a look at specs tomorrow and I'll come back to you.

Thanks V!

Currebtly, looks like the Marantz SR7011 is one of the few options...

VEX, did you find some time to look into this?

Hi CoN.

I can get the Marantz, but it is reporting low stock so will need to check with wholesaler on Monday, it usually implies an EoL product and when it is gone, its gone.

Not much else around that offers 9 channels, which give you what you need, at that price. Both Yamaha and Denon are at least £200/£300 more.

Let me know what price youve seen and I'll see if I can beat / match it.
