Well, as forecast by Bryan at Fernhurst, the flex joint on my Griff 500 exhaust has finally given up the ghost. It's got a crack near where it joins the front section of the exhaust, presumably from occasionally grounding on sleeping policemen

Has anyone had experience of getting this repaired? I'm thinking a stainless exhaust builder will be able to weld in a new flex joint. I've repaired it temporarily with a load of exhaust bandage and metal foil, but I suspect it won't last too long after Folembray next weekend...

Any advice gratefully received. Cheers,

Pete

Hi Pete

I put a tear in my flex joint on holiday and a local exhaust guru was able to weld it up. Had the car serviced by Peninsula a couple of weeks ago and they said they had ordered me a new flex section to fit at the next service.

So clearly they do sell the bits and they can be fixed! Call Neil on 01884 35341 who should be able to give you advice.

Cheers

I just weld them up. works fine. the flexi is very thin metal though so takes a little bit more finesse than usual but other than that no probs.
