Oil changes for tracked GT3?

In the desert heat of Dubai, the OPC recommends service schedules every 10,000km (6,000 miles) for all Porsches.

Mine is a daily commuter and tracked regularly: twice a month in most months, (although one of those is an autocross day which isn't particularly hard on the car as it's just 4 timed laps of a small circuit). Should I be scheduling an oil change every 5,000 km or is that overkill?

I change my oil every other track day. GT3 engines aint cheap.

7k miles, 5 oil changes.

As Steve says, new oil's cheaper than new engines!!
