You can only warn her, but it's her records and her choice. If your records are being used that is another matter!
I think the vertical tracking force (the effective weight of the stylus on the record), the fact it isn't adjustable and the stylus profile and material make the Crosley a bad idea for playing records; let's face it, they are expensive after all!

Certainly won't be letting her near my vintage collection.
Couldn't believe the price of vinyl in HMV today! I just don't want her wasting her money firstly on a rubbish player and secondly scratching all her records. I can see other record players which I think also look fashionable but they're about £300!
