DS Pallas dream -is this a scam?
Discussion
Hi I have wanted a DS Pallas for over 20 years and I found one quite local to me (on ROI Plates).
Thing is, the same pictures are used on 2 different ads with the locations very spread out (ROI and Essex) and one is half the price of the other.
See the ads here-

Anyone on here own this car or can explain why the ads for the same car are so different?

I have a feeling I might know (well, know of) the Irish seller. If it is who I think it is (Polish name), then he does seem to have a track record of restoring and selling Citroens that really exist, and interacts with the Citroen community on FB in a "real" way. I know no more than that.
Buy the more expensive one, that way you're sure to get the better car, so you will
Reckon the mush from Essex bought it from the Pole in Paddyland (who didn't cancel the ad) and Essex mush wants to make a few quid..

Worth making contact with both advertisers.
Could be a scam, or could be friends, one with the car near you, other advertising it where it would be worth quite a bit more.
Or second advert could have bought the car and is advertising it with his mark up before he actually has it.
I've googled the number in the second ad, and it appears to be a classic dealer, so possibly legitimate.

Need to be a member of the Citroen Car Club (UK) FB group, but it's not dependant on membership of any club:

Excellent news (other than the welding bit!) thank you. Waiting on bank to come back to me, and if that works out I hope to meet him this weekend.
If it works out it will be the 2nd time in my life I have fulfilled a car ownership dream, and the vx220 gave me the fizz every time I went out in it, I expect this will be the same.
