Hi All,

Looking to add another SS sports model to the collection, specifically a James Cameron Deepsea Deep Blue, but demand for all sports models seem to have gone nuts in the past year and I am struggling to find an AD to sell me DSDB they all seem to be quoting waiting lists of around two years.

Does anybody on here have any tips, or point me in the right direction of an authorised dealer that can get me one within a reasonable time frame, I quite like the new Steel SkyDweller too but assume this would be harder to get.

I understand I may be asking the impossible here but it’s always worth a try J

Cheers

Saw one (DS Deep Blue) the other day, pre-owned but unworn. The guy was asking $11k. It's in Istanbul, the guy deals in Rolex (grey market and pre-owned), I can cal in tomorrow to check if he still has it / get some pics. He also has a couple of DS and Subs., and a Batman.

Is the D-Blue a limited run edition?

How much more is list price over a standard Deepsea?

Thanks

Watchfinder have 2 for sale starting at £11k. Iconic have them listed for similar money.

Drop an email to some of the Rolex ADs in Bangkok when I was there recently most had stainless Rolex in stock.

cheers guys, I actually managed to pick one up when I was in Switzerland about 2 weeks after posting this thread, same case there with all SS models being difficult to get, however in the past I've bought another piece from that particular AD and a few bits of Jewelry so they helped me out.

Hello Prabs fantastic to hear that you managed to get hold of your chosen model!
Im after a SS Daytona but being quoted crazy wait times at all of the UK dealers. I am going to Switzerland Geneva in March for business next year so may give a try there.
May I kindly ask which place you used for your purchase? Please send me a pm i would really appreciate it

Having picked one up myself earlier in the year...

Goldsmiths now operate on a policy of only allowing you to have your name on the list at one location; i don't know if this is the same everywhere?

i waited just over 2 years for a call to say they had one for me, by the time i got the message (work at sea) it was sold....

I did however manage to walk into a shop in Bermuda which had two sitting there in stock...

Switzerland have the same issues that we have with steel sports stock. Just done a trip round Switzerland and they all said the same.

Yep, very much so I had to call in a favor from the salesman I dealt with previously to get this one.
