hi-fi service in the north west

Hi all

I have a fairly modest Hi-fi system that needs a service. It's an Arcam alpha 7 CD player and a Denon amp. Recently it's started varying volume on it's own and I think there must be a loose connection inside, as tapping gently on the side causes the problem to worsen. I did think it may be the power cable at the rear working its way out over time, as it was hanging down (system above head height and plug around ankle level), so I attached a hook to the wall and hung the wires onto that, taking the strain off the back of the amp etc. This seemed to work for a while, but now it's worse again.

I'm in North Manchester (Bury) and would like to take it in for someone to look at and fix. It's a lovely system (to my ears) and I'm sure it can be fixed, but I can't do it.
