Another what is it ?

The front sheet metal looks very much like a vauxhall 20-60 hurlingham, but the cowl is peaked, rather than rounded. I found a 20-60 sedan from 1930 that the cowl is rounded but still has the "scoops" in the grille.

The real sticking point is I can't find anything with a slanted suicide door and windscreen - any bolt on screens sit on top of the cowl rather than affix to the side.

It would also appear to be a 4 seater ? the person in the car would appear to be sat in a rear seat.

I'm wondering if its a scratchbuilt body using Vauxhall front sheet metal ?

You have to bear in mind that in the '30s you could go to the factory and buy a chassis and just take it to your own coach builder. Quite often the 'chassis' would have standard factory wings and bodywork from the scuttle forward.
Looks like a 2 seater with dickey to me.

I would say mid, to late '20's judging by the shape of the wings.

I don't think it's a 30-98.
The car in the picture has a 20-60 bonnet, with vents all the way along the side.
The body doesn't appear to be by Vauxhall, although it's broadly similar to the "Melton" 2-seater roadster.
Although it was designed pre-take-over, around 1925, the 20-60 was produced under GM control between 1927 & 1930.

Never seen a 30/98 with bolt-on wire wheels so I agree with 20-60 but have no idea about the body.

Definately not a 30/98 and I rather think it is a 1930/31 2 litre Vauxhall Cadet with factory 2 seat bodwork
although cannot be certain of the latter.
