Excellent. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I love that country park. I grew up just an hour's bike ride away and spent a lot of summer days down there. Back in those days there was a section of beach where clothing was optional, so I'd hammer up and down the hard packed sand in my "Thomas Magnum" shorts on my Raleigh Record Sprint, trying to catch a glimpse of some 'peaches'. But it was almost always creepy single men and doddery old couples... 
In those days there was no such thing as a "Mountain Bike" and it was too far a journey to ride there on a Grifter, so road bike it was.
It was also where we went as a family to go to the beach a lot, and I have a historical family connection to the wartime munitions factory through my paternal grandmother and great grandmother who worked on the site.
I was somewhat less happy to hear you describe it as "muddy" though! I certainly hope it won't be muddy next April for the 'Battle On The Beach'. I've been very lucky the last couple of years with weather for that event, which was good because I've camped both times on site. I dread to think what it would be like if the weather was horrid!
