Hi all,

Currently drive a mk1 golf GTi cabriolet as a daily. Great car but just lacks pace and the electrics are a pain.
Id value it at £4.5k myself and saving up for a few things that'd be my budget.

Im abit of a speed freak do want one of the fastest yet usable cars for that money.
Needs 4 seats
Ideally 30+ mpg
Circa 6 secs 0-60 looks to be ideal

Currently have in mind:

Mk1 seat Leon cupra r - prob revo stage 2
Mk5 golf GTi - bit boring though
Renault r26 - heard bad things about these getting remapped and interior looks naff
Abf converted MK2 golf GTi - be less noisy than what I currently have

Any other ideas

I'm swaying towards the cupra

Cheers

Mazda 3 / 6 MPS

30MPG is a push around town but comfortable on a run.

AWD and 260+bhp on the 6.

E46 330 / maybe E90 if budget will stretch

In my opinion Meganes 225 would be worth a look, although not sure if the F4RT does 30mpg - the F4R in the 172/182 does that comfortably

Consider Volvos too - T5/D5?
