importing mot exempt car
Discussion
Looking for another bit of advice about the DS I'm hoping to get this weekend.
The car is 1974 so therefore MOT and tax exempt. If I import it from the ROI does it still need to pass an initial MOT here?
Also do you still have to renew the (free) tax on historic vehicles like with tax exempt electric cars or is it completely out of the RFL system?
Thanks,
Decky

Not until May 2018 anyway.
You still have to 'renew' historic tax annually, it's just at a zero rate.
