got a 98 4.2 cerb. fantastic car. owned it 2 years
and would like to keep it long term, but people
seem reluctant to buy any cerb with more than 30k
miles on it. what does this mean for long term
ownership? had an e- type with 70k miles. still
sold it for a lot more than i paid for it. will
people want to buy a very old cerb with that sort
of miles on it in the future? due to tvrs ever
increasing exposure to the puplic and often being
tested against other exotica, i think the cerbera may
well become a future classic, what do you think?

I reckon if you budget to lose about £1k in depreciation for every 10k miles you put on it, you'll be fine. As long as you're prepared for that, drive it till the wheels fall off.
I actually imagine that once you get past the 50k mark you'll lose less per 10k, but it's a nice easy figure to work with

Cerbera prices are dependant on the condition of the individual car, more than say an E type.
Selling privately can be difficult as most buyers want a dealer warrantee, best way is to get the car valued by a dealer/ specialist, ask for trade purchase price and forcourt retail then price it for private sale somewhere in the middle.
Any car will sell at the correct price.
