There is a 12.5 cm and and 8cm speaker in each of the rear speaker units. They're Nokia speakers and the factory fitted originals.

Anyone know how to get the top (meshed) cover off the unit? You seem to have to do this to get to the screws holding the larger speaker.

I thought the speakers were 6"x4" but they're not, they have a 12.5 and 8 cm diameter.

They're just press in covers which sit in a recess of the plastic trim.

You can use something non scratch like a wooden cocktail stick to prise it up and off.

Do you mean that the mesh cover is stuck to the top of the back shelf?

In my case the mesh is part of the speaker unit and comes away with the unit as a whole piece when you remove it from the back shelf.

A cocktail stick won't prise it away from the speaker. I tried a screw driver but it needs too much force that will damage the plastic speaker housing.

Nope, the grille is set in the plastic trim with some black adhesive every now and again to stop them popping out. A hairdrier should heat it up enough to lift the mesh out. (This is assuming C2 speakers are the same as those in a TT).
