Currently got Pirelli PZero Rosso's (295/35/ZR21 107 Y NO) on my 2011 Cayenne 3.0d and ready for a new set of 4. Only ever ran the Pirelli's and happy with them but wondered if there is a better tyre? Need to order some asap!

Cheers

On my Cayenne I went through the Pirellis, then Michelins and then finally Yoko Advans. I think the Michelins were the best for me (I had the Turbo 2 wheels with the same 295/35/21 tyre sizing)...

I'm currently on Yokohama Advan and their a great tyre and probably as good as my previous Michelins. The issue with Cayenne tyres is very pronounced premature wear on the outer fronts especially on the passenger side. The cause i have found is oem alignment has too much toe-in which massively wears the front outers while the remainder of the tyre looks like new.
The solution is either go to an independent and dial less toe-in or alternatively switch tyres diagonally every few thousand miles....don't assume OPC's get it right all the time..!!

If you can get away with non-N rating then Vredistein Vorti which is the replacement for the Sessantra. My 2005 S had them fitted in March. Awesome in the wet & dry. Good price as well.

I have the Michelin Latitude 3 on a 2014 Cayenne S (295/35/21). I find them to be very noisy. Saying that I changed the Lattitude 2s as they were 3 years old and cracked (UAE Heat means tyres only last 3 years max!). I thought that is why the 2's were noisy but perhaps its the car and/or Michelin SUV tyres in general.

Will be interested to hear your observations re the Yokos.

Wish I'd have known that when I bought my Cayenne. I've had the alignment checked 3 times, once by Porsche and twice at the tyre fitters. They all just said that this sort of wear was par for the course in such a heavy car.

I've had the car over 8 years now. I dread to think how many tyres I've been through.

I had A2 tyres at Sittingbourne set mine up & so far tyre wear is A. minimal & B. very even.

My Diesel's original set of Pirrellis lasted 20k miles. Good grip but you expect that with softer compounds.

I swopped them for a set of Michelin LS2s - very impressive, good grip again but lasted 40k miles.

The set I have on now are LS3s - lasting well. Got both sets via Blackcircles.
