Im on the hunt for a new daily car again and was looking for some suggestions incase im missing anything that I could consider. Budget is high teens max of 20k. Would ideally like a mid sized car with 4 doors, at least 400 bhp, rear or 4wd, preferably manual box.

Straight off the bat I would be thinking E60 M5 500bhp RWD however am sure almost all are automatic but some decent change of 20k, Of course could also go down the mint E39 M5 and have a tidy 400hp V8 ( the one I have linked obv expensive but wow )

Get a decent Audi RS4 with that glorious high revving v8 440hp Quattro and a manual box

Little bit different and get a Vaux VXR8 big 6.0 v8 RWD manual box and 4 doors so practical.

Nice position to be in. RS4 V8 is a very good car by any standard. But if it was me, I would be looking for a older model RS6. either twin turbo V8 or an early twin turbo V10, which will remap with minor changes to the ancillaries but nothing internal to the dark side of 800bhp and 1000nm of torque, which is also a great way to see the look of lambo /Ferrari /porsche owners who do not understand how you get away from them with ease. Check out the different stages of REVO software mapping options if you need any more persuading, on a left field option to take advantage of the best possible time to get a truly amazing deal, the S8 and the W12 A8 Audi are very good, don't be concerned about the size, it's all aluminium and you can feel the balance and traction that belies the dimensions of the car. Happy shopping. One of my missus family has a porsche Panamera v8 turbo that is a very fast car, eats M5s, and this has just come back from a European trip up through Holland Germany and down to Italy and back via France. Didn't miss a beat.
Not the best looking car but nothing a drop and wise rim choice can't sort out
