Hi,
This car X70 ADE
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2017...

Has been registered with the DVLA as a HONDA.

Why would this be?

Thinking about buying it and performed an experian check on it and tells me that the reg was changed a few weeks back but soemthing is a little strange right?

Thanks, so the check comes back as

and DVLA say it's

but the car is a NISSAN XTRAIL

Would it still be legit to buy?

No, not really that complicated.

The photos were probably taken before the private plate was moved to the CR-V (or the dealer simply hasn't changed the perspex on each end of the X-Trail over yet). Ring the dealer, and ask what plate is actually on the X-Trail now.

Cazana says the plate (X70ADE) was put onto the CR-V during Sept 2017.

Just ask them the current reg of the car. The guy bought a 66 plate and then stuck his personal reg on that.

This. Nothing untoward going on, just a bit of laziness in not changing the plates over when doing the photos.
