HI,

whilst hoovering the car out I got rather over-enthusiastic and sucked up one of the radio function buttons (changes stations etc) - so I was wondering how I might get another. VW has quoted me £899 for a new radio which is politely refused.

Anyone know how I might get one?

many thanks

Couldnt you just get the button out of the hoover and put it back on?

No, not really as it was an industrial garage one.

I'm sure the garage would understand...

Alternatively buy a knackered one and nick the bits off it

yes that is my intention but I do not know where I could buy a non-working one from, as eBay seems to have working models only, Is there an online version of a breaker yard?

http://www.partshark.co.uk/ is worth a look

In your position though I'd be using this as an excuse to upgrade the radio! The RCD 510 isn't much extra cash and improves the interior quite a bit

Thanks but it's a 7-year-old car now so might get another car before I upgrade the radio.
