JCT have just fitted the new AMR Aerokit to their V12 Vantage S demo car, along with the new AMR wheels and the AMR Performance Pack and I was invited down to view it as they know I am seriously considering putting the Aerokit on to Kermit but wanted to see one in the flesh first.

All I can say is WOW - it really looks amazing in the flesh and the AMR wheels look fantastic too!

Here is a quick walk around video that I took - https://youtu.be/8o8HQ8-tlAs

The sills are fully lacquered CF and look amazing so JCT have decided to fit them unpainted. They do look damn good like that, and it seems such a shame to paint over such beautiful CF, but Im not sure if it would work as well on my car, so I may just adopt the factory recommendation and paint all but the lower rib.

Here are a couple of pics, plus even more on JCT's instagram page here https://www.instagram.com/p/BZoa-2Ogp3t/

When I was at college, I welded a couple of pattern sills onto a friend's red Ford Fiesta to get it through its MOT. At first, the end result looked a lot like that, but Halfords rattle cans came to the rescue.

Thanks for posting Adam. I could be tempted by the CF sills on my car. Any idea re cost? I'm not a fan of the wing. Great on a GT 8/12. Wheels look great on the Instagram pics. I'm happy with the lightweights though.

They will only sell you the whole kit, but you can buy the GT4 sills from AM Racing. See the other recent thread for more info...

Trust me, the wing looks amazing in real life - none of the pics to it real justice!

I presume the hatch has to be drilled to fit the wing?

Yup - and the front bumper to fit the dive blades.

Do you have a better pic of the rear diffuser? That's the only thing I haven't been able to get a decent look at, and it'd be appreciated if you could post one!

Only this one - I was very much focussed on the Aerokit to be honest, and the diffuser is part of the Performance Pack not Aerokit. Visually it appeared identical to the normal one, albeit all CF!

Thanks for the pictures!

Aston’s Marketing department needs a kick up the backside... there’s barely any good pictures of the kit and information on options are sparse!

Does this car have the titanium exhaust with the rear carbon diffuser?

The wing seems to be different to their previous GT4 pictures.... looks good!

Yup the pics on the main website leave a lot of unanswered questions, which is why I was keen to see it for real before making up my mind. I'm pretty sure the AMR parts are very closely based on the GT4 Aerokit, but finished to retail standard rather than race standard, hence why there is a bit of a price difference.

Yes this car as the full Performance Kit, which includes the Titanium Exhaust and CF rear diffuser. So a good £35k of AMR accessories fitted to it in total! Makes your eyes water thinking about it...

Wheels look fantastic - in fact the whole package looks good . It seems ages ago since I specced my AMR and ordered the option wheel having baulked at the cost initially . I wonder if any of that aero would look good on a Roadster? I still have concerns with the front splitter and the practicality of it in everyday use . Seeing these pictures I'm just frustrated my car is some months away . I suppose good things come to those that wait !

That wing looks truly awful. Not a fan of wings on road cars, utterly pointless and completely boy racer.

The AMR wheels remind me of the old Pontiac Trans Am snowflake wheels, just painted black.

Hmmm. £35K! So that would buy you an old 4.3 V8V and start you on the journey of striping it down and turning it into a proper GT4 spec track car. I know which way I'd go but it's great for AML that the AMR venture seems to be proving successful and popular.

So the AMR parts really are like the BMW "M" and Audi "S-Line" parts, albeit a £35k bodykit.

Thats a lot of cash to make your car a look-a-like.

With the stick owners take on here having "uprange" parts installed on a "downrange" car, I am surprised you have not taken any insults yet.

I do like the kit though and if you are going to do it, then the wing is desirable.

Wheels are vastly overpriced though and to make the point you are not building a lookalike, I would find some nicer, aftermarket wheels.

PS. I too would paint those sills up to the body but leave the lip that stuts out, bare. As they are they look pants.

£35k includes the V12 595bhp Performance Pack which is almost half of that cost! Aerokit, which includes a new larger CF front splitter, CF dive blades, and CF wing is £10890+vat +fitting (RRP). The AMR wheels are £5k +vat (RRP).

From the AMR Vantage thread it seems quite a few of the owners are going to get Aerokit fitted so we will see a few once those start rolling which must be very soon.

Still reflecting on it, but very very tempted with just Aerokit. I love my Zagato wheels so wouldn't swap them for any other type of wheel, albeit the AMR wheels are now my 2nd favourites, and I can't justify the Performance Pack price to myself.

I would keep the Zagato wheels, they're lovely

The AMR V12 comes with the performance pack. But if it were an optional extra I would think twice; I'm really not sure how much usable difference there will be.

Indeed, although to be fair the bulk of the cost of the performance pack is the Ti exhaust ....... I've ordered the Ti exhaust/CF read blade for my AMR, but still have some doubts over just how significant the noise differences (pitch & volume) will be given the AMR cars come decatted to start with
