Help identity this 00 gauge train and carriages

As per the title I need help identifying this train and carriages. I believe it is from the late 1970's or early 1980's.

All it has on them is made in hong kong which leaves me to believe it is a bachmann?

If it's Bachmann, it would be HO gauge. This link to http://tycotrain.tripod.com/bachmanncatalogs/id56.... Bachmann catalogues from the 70s will probably give you the answer, if you've got the time to go through them.

My initial though was that it isn't Bachmann, who I associate with making accurate representations of real locomotives, but on looking at a few pages in the 70s catalogues, it seems they did make some models of generic locomotives at that time.

The carriages look like Orient Express, so that might help narrow down the search a bit...
