Broken chain rear derailleur
Discussion
Hello,
I have just adjusted Tourney rear derailleur in my quite new Triban 100 from decathlon. I have set one screw to make it work quiter but it was wrong becuase it just seemed to be better. When i started to ride my chain fallen between casette and rear wheel spokes. Then my chain broken and one spoke is a little bent and scrached. After that my wheel was turning a little uneven so i have tightened two nipples on spokes a little and now it is straight again, it was nothing serious. Do you think that a little bent spoke can get broken after some time or something might happen? It looks like derailleur isn't bent so i have ordered a new chain, adjusted screw on my derailleur and i hope it will be ok after chain arrive. Have you had similar situations? Do You think that i should replace this spoke or something?

Indeed, those screws are for use with caution and not really the thing to use on normal adjustment of the gears
Having to true the wheel to compensate for the bent spoke isn't ideal. You should replace the bent spoke and retension accordingly
And put the limit screws back to the proper place!
You might not need a new chain. If it is long enough, just remove the broken link and put it together again shorter....
