Found in an attic. Looks 60's from the plug. Has bulb in the back. Logo says Bracair / swiss.
The vapouriser has an adjustable wick. The brownish residue left in does not smell of anything. It may be an early air freshener but thats just my guess!

That’s what it looks like to me also. With a 5A lighting ring plug.

5A plug would only have 2 pins. I'm fairly sure that is a standard 15A round-pin mains plug.

Both 3 and 5A lighting plugs has 3 pins, looks too small for an old 16A 3 pin.

Seeing as it has turned into a plug interest thread, here is the inside! Says MK and 2 amp on it.

With a distinct lack of fuse I wonder how it knows wether to be 2 amp or 5 or 5,000!

I think I can just remember these plugs/ sockets in grandparents houses in the late 60's.

Yep definitely 5A. Got a 5A circuit in our lounge all linked to one switch on the wall, great for turning all the lamps off together, especially useful for the Xmas tree lights!
