A4 B&O

Hi. Im in the process of spec'ing and ordering a new A4 Avant. Is there anyone here that has one with the B&O sound system? Ill be going for the Avant and not really sure what to order to spec the car to be honest as comes with loads of stuff already. The virtual cockpit I would like but it all appears to be part of expensive Sound and Comfort technology packs where as the B&O appear to be able to order on its own. Is that correct?

Surely the dealer has a demo with the system installed?

Or even a used one?

I find it hard to believe they wouldn't jump at an opportunity to push optional extras.

I did some research on the A4 Options before buying mine. I found that most thought the Audi 10 speaker system was good enough and that the Virtualcockpit was good but also gimicky. A friend of mine has an S3 with it and said after a week he stopped using it and now just has the same screen on all the time. As with all these "perishable options" as a Porsche dealer once described them to me, they make the car more appealing when you come to sell, but maintain little value compared to what they cost initially. However it all depends on how much you want these things really and whether you think you would regret not buying them.

I bought mine a year old, so had to compromise on some things, which is probably a good thing. If I was specing one new I would add everything which isn't the commercially savvy thing to do.
