350i Engine

Out of interest did TVR breath upon this engine when put in the 350i or was it just a straight forward rover v8 with no mods?

Initially it was the vitesse engine with the cast manifolds and developed the same BHP, then when it went to tubular manifolds that released another 10-15 horses.
