Junghans feedback (Meister Chronoscope)
Discussion
All,
Starting a new job mid month, considering a new watch as a treat to myself, a 3 month child, new house etc will take care of most of the payout from old and surplus from new but there is a little leftover I may assign.
Current collection is numerous but nothing of any real value aside from sentimental.
Junghans Max Bill Chronoscope caught my eye on a thread here a while back, browsing Chrono24 and the Junghans website over the weekend, the bi-colour Meister Chronoscope caught my eye, reverse Panda colour scheme it is I guess, picture below for reference.
Anyone have any real world on wrist photos, feedback on the particular watch, Junghans as a brand etc to share?
A few available on Chrono24 (finding one with English days would be the challenge there), I could also try and pick one up in the UK next time I am home, potentially saving the VAT charge.

I had a black dial mb chrono and a white dial meister kalendar moon phase.
Both very nice designs. The Meister was arguably the best looking watch I ever owned.
Changed the chrono's strap for a junghans mesh which is cheap (£70) and nasty-ish tho' looks good in photos. The MK otoh came on a most attractive and well made ss bracelet.
Here's an article on the MB worth reading:

The only thing I wouldn't entirely agree with is his conclusion that it's 'solid German construction'. I'd describe the MB as 'delicate', though not overly so. But it's not got the indestructible feel of Breitling or Damasko etc etc.
O and have a look at Nomos and Stowa as well. Bit like Audi v BMW v VW v Merc but worth the comparison. My money went with the Junghans.

Thanks, the moonphase is new to me as well, nice watch but I keep getting drawn back to the bi-colour meister above. Both very nice designs. The Meister was arguably the best looking watch I ever owned.

Do they sit high on the wrist?
Cannot stand the mesh supplied with the MB, the bracelet on the moonphase is nice though.
Now headed to look at Nomos and Stowa...
Edit - now if that ss bracelet fits the Meister Chronoscope...

I’ve always love the “4” on the Max Bill.
But I was disappointed when I tried on the regular 3-hander - compared with the Seiko Sarb065 I was wearing, it felt too small and ladylike. And I don’t have large wrists - 7.25-7.5 inches.
Interestingly, the both the MB and Meister in chrono form are two of the very few watches that would take me away from a 3-handed face.
And that Kalendar is superb..!
