Good Morning PH,

I went out to test drive a BMW X5 30d (2008 - 235 HP) with a friend who is looking to buy one on Saturday. I was really impressed with the 6 speed ZF and the engine in general. I was just wondering whats the safest combination of a 30/35d with an autobox to avoid big bills? I know you generally buy on condition but i'm more thinking of avoiding things like the air suspension on the 535d.

X3 35d & 330d coupe look good as they are under 300 to tax.

Cheers!

i had a 2009 535d. twin turbo engines suffer less stress than single turbo.

gear boxes very good. so good infact i never bothered with manual mode.
