X5 E70 parking brake fault

Repair with 12 months warranty? http://www.1stchoicerecons.co.uk/bmw-epb-parking-b...
Thanks Fas. Good video. Tried it. Didn't work
Still trying to source a replacement. Looks like £300 for a refurb or risk £150 buying one off ebay shipped from Hong Kong!
Sods law, I'm about to PX the car in about 4 weeks and this issue has just surfaced. Pretty sure the PX value will drop significantly if I haven't fixed this issue. I'm dubious about the ebay option

I was about to post this, shame it didn't work for you.Are you sure it isn't the switch? The plastic button broke off a few months ago. It was fine as long as you held it in place whist actuating it. Couple of weeks back I got the parking brake fault on DIS. Replaced the switch and all was good.

Do you mean the switch on the centre console that you pull/push to activate/deactivate? I suppose it could be. It began with an occasional warning light (once every couple of weeks or so over several months), which always went away after turning the iginition on/off. Then one day the parking brake locked on. Released it manually but the warning light is now on permanently.

I've been told by my indie that the parking brake fault means I need a new actuator. BMW only part, £724!!
Other than ebay, which all seem to be from Hong Kong, anyone know where I might find one? Any specialist breakers I might try?
Hi, Curious as to how you resolved your issue? I have the same problem and am trying to avoid spending £800 for an OEM part
