Elise S3 Rumour !

Has anyone heard this rumour ? one of my contact's is saying that there might me an S3 on the way, I spoke to my other and he said nothing new on the Elise front until 2007 earliest

Dunno Boggy. I asked this question on the Elise forum a few weeks back. I figured that the S2 has been around for 4 years now, so an update is not out of the question.

With the federalised Elise being out for only a year it would be unlikely to see an S3 any time soon, does anyone agree?

Lotus are working on this new chassis configuration aren't they which will be used for potentially various new models going forwards.

I doubt the Elise will change much in the short term, 111r and Exige 2 sales must be doing quite well so there's no real need to change it other than to refine any niggles and improve quality.

I suspect they're focussing more on the Esprit replacement to take on that sector at the moment.

Sworks: Exactly what my dealer told me last saturday. If he knows more than us??....
it seems they are working on a 2+2 based on the same chassis as the new esprit. Demand for Elise is huge and delay of delivery in the US is ..........2 years.
He denies S3 Elise on the pipeline.
Who really knows??
