At the end of the legs of steel event in Surrey on Saturday there were a number of representatives of the Leith Hill Action Group, who are campaigning against the drilling of Leith Hill. I dont know much about the topic but do know that Leith Hill is a very fine hill that forms part of lots of Surrey sportives - I think the Ride 100 goes over it too. The lady I was speaking to afterwards was making the (rather reasonable I thought) point about the incompatability of large mining lorries and cyclists. Anyone local who has a view (good sportive by the way although the parking was a bit chaotic)?
