I want to fit my new VVC inlet manifold to my elise but i cannot get the existing one off because i cannot undo 2 of the cap heads holding the back plate for the boot out and i am too scared to drill them and it doesn't want to know by using 2 nuts on the thread to lock it up then gettning a spanner on it.

wouldnt bother myself - the plastic one is better unless you have the VVC mech.

OK - just make sure you port the holes so they match the head etc perfectly ...otherwise you will lose power throughout the range...at best with one of these you may gain 1 or 2 bhp at the top end, but lose torque lower down and in the middle.
