620R weight?

Has anyone weighed a 620R on corner weighting scales to get an accurate weight of the car? And what spec was the car / how much fuel when it was weighed. The Caterham figure is pretty optimistic!

Caterham quote 572kg, and the last one I weighed in full road trim was 583kg with 15l of fuel in it. So not optimistic at all really.

Ah ok, I had seen a video on you tube (petrol ped) where the Caterham representative during the car handover had quoted to the journalist it was 535kg with a full tank of fuel!

Mine was 706kg including me in the car so -90kg = 616kg
That was on ZZS tyres, brim full of fuel, screen and doors fitted.
The car also has a heater, fire extinguisher, rear exit exhaust system and Penske dampers which were heavier than the original ones.

Do you mean 606? surely not over 700 ! ,

Mine was high 500s ( cannot remember exactly but about 590 from memory ) thats in original trim , no windscreen .

Caterham quote 610 for the S. That's presumably without fuel or any extras. As you say over 700 seems a lot unless it includes driver - but 650 or so seems plausable without, depending on spec.

Jim meant with the driver! He then said he reckoned without his weight the car would be about 616 kilos.

I reckon there’s a good chance that Stuart was referencing my own 620R,,as it was Stuart who corner weighted it for me recently!

It may have been - we do quite a few of them. I think we've got seven of them here at the moment...
