Hi All,

I'm on a driver training day with some friends and one of them has an Audi TT 2010 model.

We've done the hold down the button to turn off ASR and ESP but there's still some "magic" occurring...

Any ideas how to temporarily disable it all properly?

Cheers all for letting me invade your sub forum, you're always welcome in the Lotus forum smile

Not an Audi, but we took the merc to a driver training day.
Much research determined that you actually couldn't turn the ESP etc completely off.

The absolutely refused to misbehave, even with big chunks of left foot braking and large throttle openings. It did chew its tyres to bits.

It was actually very impressive, and as a result we know that the limits are high, the car is very stable, stamping on the brakes and just turning in works and that if you do run out of physics the accident you will have will be very large indeed.

We used the Lotus after lunch for all the fun bits.

I have heard that you can pull the fuse for the ESP/TC on the TT - never tried it on any of ours - prefer having the safety net personally

There is a fuse that you can pull.
However on my car it makes the steering default to a weird setting, causes the speedometer to not work and neither ABS or TC or ESP work.

Depending on your ABS module PN there are various changes that can be made on VCDS.
