Good news to start with. I think.
Credit where credit is due, I emailed Blackpool last eve, and was impressed to receive a response this morning to say that the engineers are going to look into the problem today. I know this isn't a solution, but I do think its a positive that I/we are being taken seriously. Full marks for an immediate response. I dont think many manufacturers would be so quick off the mark.
AS usual, satchel gob here will keep you advised.

Never let it be said, I for one am thankful for your assistance. If it will improve the design and functionality of one of the most glorious sports car available, all I can humbly say is thank you.

Keep up the good work . . OH

No, no details. I would have been surprised if there was any admittance of a problem. I was encouraged just to be acknowledged at this early stage. And although I am not going to name names, it was by one of the most senior of TVR management. As I implied earlier I want to keep this issue low key and friendly and get it resolved, rather than demanding this that and the other.

Thanks Al
Your support, as always is welcome. It makes a refreshing change from some people (not recently admittedly ) who just want to run TVR down without addressing issues in a civilised way.

Probably shouldn't have posted it on Piston Heads with a sticky so it stays at the top then Di

Good call though, and top marks to TVR.

Hi guys,
Latest on pod issue.
Whilst further investigation is on going, it has been suggested to me that we should go into the set up screen and set set the baseline contrast and brightness to 95%. Then use the knobs on dash to set it to the optimum. This may help, I havent tried it yet, but as the screen is polarized the wearing of polarized sun glasses may still be counteracting, ie blanking the screen out.
As I said last week, I am very impressed that they are taking us seriously and IMHO making a lot of effort to rectify our problem.

Sounds like you've at least got some communication going ! Maybe you could tell them if we had an instruction book I'd be delighted to give what they suggest a go but having changed things on the pod I don't know about already, I think I'm staying away from the 'set-up' menu's until that book arrives !!!

I was back at the dealer to get my tick-over sorted today. While there, I mentioned it would be nice if we could see oil temp and rpm on the same screen - since revs should be kept down until sufficiently warmed-up (or oil pressure and rpm, for that matter). The Technician thought you should be able to adjust the program, 'cos you can on a T350/ Sagaris - but, no, he couldn't. They're going to check with the factory.

Incidentally, it seems even the dealers are waiting for the handbooks (which it was confirmed will be with us soon) to find out how things are supposed to work!

Yeah
I was told by the same person who has got them working on the visibility prob that this is another issue that is being addressed ie having temp and rpm on same page.
I am not technical but would have thought this is just a software issue.
Like all these things we will prob be driving 5th edition Tuscs by the time they are resolved (or we see a handbook)

Chased again re pod display. I was told today they are working on a new screen. "These things take time" I was informed. So meanwhile we are driving blind. Rest assured I wont let this drop. I am good at making a nuisance of myself. Only wish I shouldn't have to.
