Hi fitted some ACT flared trumpets to my wedge earlier this week. can tell straight away i have more bhp and at lower revs car pulls better and is nicer to drive. its a tad louder than before a little throaty if that,s possible?. anyone else done this whats your thoughts

What you done the mod on; 350, 400? I was thinking of doing it over the winter if worth it on a 390.

PS: Notice your local to me, in fact probably the most local to me from what i know!

the mod was on a 350i fitted with a rising fpr and a Mark Adams 4cu. thinking of a jag afm next as mark says that should give aroud 12 bhp

I had the ACT alloy trumpets and also the inlet mainfold ported - this is an easy bhp gain for all RV8's

Another if to convert the throttle to 72mm (up from 68mm).

ACT does all of these for a pretty decent price.

One slight issue with these mods of you have better airflow and a weaker mixture. Probably good for economy but maybe worse for bhp and torque. So worth getting the car checked on a Rolling road to check if retuning is necessary.
