So last night after replacing a few items my curious side got the better of me and.....not sure how to say this but I sort of
put the silver key in
I didn't turn it...honest guv! But this morning when trying to push the fob to disable the immobilser (after the initial lock period) it won't go solid red and you don't get the fuel pump prime. Now I have to bugger about locking and unlocking to get it working

I'm now scared to touch the thing again....imagine if I'd have turned it!
What a knobhead!
myself in the throat!

Best thing to do is to replace it with a switch - feels much more like flying a fighter jet when you have to prime all the switches before you can even start the damn thing (mine even had a secret cut off switch fitted in the ash tray!)!!

Serves me right nosey git
I've only owned it for 12 days and I'm now staring down the barrel of lesson 2...don't put it up on axles, remove the scuttles and nose around the engine bay and drivetrain too quickly, as you may find a leak from the gearbox and power steering rack thats now added to your list of jobs
bet that will roll into a new clutch as well.
Toggle switch with the flip up safety bar...like off a lancaster bomber, now there's an

Silver key is no real drama, it’s the if it breaks the wiring behind in when being fiddled with.
My solution as it once cut the engine on motorway as I went over a bump was to have it replaced with a latching button. Which has an LED ring so I know if it’s on or not that way I can identify if that’s an issue or not.
