Oak wood floor
Discussion
New house to us, approx 30sq m oak wood floor in the hall I reckon it's been down around 15yrs, pretty good order. Thinking of carrying it through to the lounge (an additional 20sqm)
Would this ever match or just look crap with a joiner where the door threshold is? What sort of fitted price should I budget for?
What are the different types? Engineered, solid etc? If we rip the whole lot up I'd be tempted by parquet, would 50sqm require an arm and a leg?

And a kidney.
If a new floor was laid of the same material and the existing sanded and then the whole lot refijoshesnit will be a closer match than just laying and finishing new next to it.
We have solid oak in our living room and bedrooms and it’s gorgeous but I went through 2 circular saws cutting it all to fit!
