lost service history
Discussion
I just bought my daughter a 2003 Boxster S 100k miles drives beautifully
Nice car and and a good Indy dealer
However it now seems due to illness etc of the proprietor no one can find any service history !
Whatever the rights and wrongs re the dealer I want to trace as much history as possible myself as you would appreciate
Anyone got any bright ideas?

Contact local OPC and Porsche indies to see if they have any records on the car
Look at the MOT history online and see where the car was MOTed and check if they did any work.on the car. This will also give you a clue to where the car has been located and again check Porsche indies in that area.

Agree with checking mot history as they have recently changed to full details of garages that it was mot'd at.
Also if the logbook hasn't been sent then you could write to the previous owners ( last and before)
You could always ring dvla which might be able to help with previous owners if you explain the situation.
If you google the reg it should come up with where it was registered and could ask dealers in that area as they may have serviced it early on.

If any work was carried out in the OPC network, any OPC should be able to advise what work was carried out, it doesn't have to be the actual one that carried out the work. cuprabob said:

I think that is only the case for OPCs in the same franchise group. I got confirmation of services, dates and mileage for my car from Guildford and West London. edc said:

If you fill a form in with DVLA they would give all the owners from when the car was new to the present day and you could write to them all.
