I've got the above bb and have heard there a type of screw in BB that i could get to be more reliable, less noisey and less harsh on the carbon.. Anybody know of the devices name / a shop that would sell it?! Thanks

You might be thinking of a Praxis Works conversion, not sure they do them for Bb386 though. Try Sigma Sport, they stock most of the Praxis BB's & will help you out.

Another option is a BBinfinite. I've had one in my SuperSix since March & it's never creaked once. BBinfinite reckon they're 100% creak free if installed properly (that said, it's an easy 15min job if you have a press). The bearings are easily removed when they wear out but should be good for 5000kms. No UK stockists so you'd buy direct from the US & delivery takes about a fortnight.

I have a BBright 386 evo wheels manufacturing screw together replacement BB.

Maybe 2k miles on it and not a sound. cost about £80. In comparison the original lasted less than 200 miles before it started clicking so I count that as a win

Any shop can buy them through the Madison catalogue - think this is the one I have:

There is a cheaper version without angular contact bearings, and a more expensive one with ceramic overkill
